Out the Door and Into the Sun
At least one day a week we tear ourselves away from our computers (where we gchat with each other all day) and meet for lunch, coffee, or a quick hug.
This week was a special one because there was sun! That’s right, the blazing hot yellow ball in the sky us San Franciscans hardly ever see (which is why we are so pale) graced us with its presence! Another bonus to the warmth was the $25 gift card to Out the Door that was burning a hole in my pocket. Big thanks to the peeps over at Citysearch for hooking that one up!
We shared a copious amount of food that included: Fresh Spring Rolls ($7.50), Crispy Vegetarian Imperial Rolls ($8.50), and a Niman Beef Salad w/ Orange Dressing ($9.50). We added two fancy bottled sodas to the order and it came out to a whopping $35!! Pricey lunch if you ask me! But. oh. was. it. worth. it. Sitting out along the harbour behind the Ferry Building, we got our eat and tan on.

Crispy Imperial Rolls: We opted for the vegetarian option with these guys, and it was a great choice. Despite nearly burning every taste bud off the roofs of our mouths, we enjoyed these immensely. They weren’t too greasy (despite being fried) and the mixture of textures was delicious. These crispy little heaven-rolls were our favorite part of the ginormous meal.

Niman Beef Salad w/ Orange Dressing: First of all, the dressing was. to. die. for. Lauren was almost licking the plate. The beef was a little over-peppered, but cooked to perfection. Not sure what the crispy tortilla-chip-like crunches were, but they added a refreshing texture to the salad.

Spring Rolls: The best part about the spring rolls? The peanut sauce. Hands down. Casi attempted to drink it. The place was pricey, but if we factor in the amazing view + warm sun + time with our besties + grubtacular food = Well worth it!
